PALLIATIVE CARE
Nepal trek for palliative care
A huge thank you to a special group of 21
trekkers who raised an incredible $68,500
for palliative care!
In addition to months of extensive training
and fundraising activities, they tackled
the 4130m trek to Nepal’s Annapurna Base
Camp in the face of landslides, leeches,
altitude sickness, thousands of rock steps
and more.
The group was led by Mark Nelson, who has
been running various treks to Nepal, Cambodia
and Sri Lanka for the past 16 years in honour
of his late wife Brigette. Our Palliative Care
Program Director Fi Abraham also participated
in this year's trek!
