Free family events
Infoline improves care
Dozens of kids living with juvenile
idiopathic arthritis enjoyed free activities
throughout the year to allow families to
connect with others going through the
same experiences.
A pilot study has found that 86% of
participants highly value our Arthritis
Infoline service.
A hands-on cooking class was given at
Sprout Cooking School, as well as mini golf
at West Beach Parks.
The events were administered through The
Hospital Research Foundation Group thanks
to a Federal Government and Arthritis
Australia grant.

Research Foundation Group’s Arthritis
Infoline proactively contacted rheumatology
patients as part of the study, to offer tailored
support for managing their arthritis.
Run by nurse Kate Purvis (pictured), the
study found the Infoline significantly boosted
people’s self-confidence and knowledge,
with the most support needed for pain,
fatigue and exercise.
If you or a loved one needs help managing your arthritis,
call our nurse-led Infoline during business hours on 1800 011 041.
