MILITARY AND EMERGENCY
SERVICES HEALTH
Sport unites, inspires and honours
The best footballers from Australia’s
emergency services (ACES) and Australian
Defence Force (ADF) played off at Adelaide
Oval as the curtain raiser to the AFL’s 2023
ANZAC commemorative round.
It was the 13th year the Australian Combined
Emergency Services (ACES) played against the
ADF All Stars in the ANZAC Day Challenge.
In the lead-up to the event, the ACES and All Stars
also played an exhibition wheelchair football
match against a combined wheelchair football
team sourced from the Invictus Pathways Program
(IPP), SANFL and Port Adelaide Football Club.
Military and Emergency Services Health
Australia (MESHA) has been a proud sponsor
of the ACES team since 2019, as well as the IPP
run by the University of South Australia.
Remembrance Day Breakfast
More than 300 people paid their
respects at MESHA's 16th Annual
Remembrance Day Breakfast.
Keynote speaker Dr Dan Pronk
enlightened the audience on 'the
thriving veteran', while navy veteran Matt
Brumby's story of strength also inspired.
