Continuing to run Kidsflix as a way
for children living with arthritis (or
other conditions) and their families
to enjoy a day at the cinema
Running music and art therapy programs
and expanding access to hydrotherapy in
regional areas
Trialling virtual reality (VR) exercise
in physiotherapy clinics to improve
osteoarthritis pain
Finding ways to diagnose juvenile idiopathic
arthritis (JIA) with medical imaging
Developing a community-based peer
mentor program to improve selfmanagement for osteoarthritis.
Investigating the role of leaky gut syndrome
in rheumatoid arthritis

World-first care guidelines for arthritis
Two “Living Guidelines” for managing
arthritis have been developed and are
now used regularly in clinical care, thanks
to your generous donations.
Living Guidelines are known to be updated
as soon as new evidence emerges.
Rheumatologist Dr Sam Whittle
developed the guidelines
to help doctors provide
the most up-to-date
treatment advice for
rheumatoid arthritis
and juvenile arthritis.
