Kidney Ball raises
$54,000
Crematorium (NRC) has generously
donated $50,000 each year, for the past
three years, to The Hospital Research
Foundation Group’s Giving Day efforts.
These generous gifts stem from the company’s
commitment to give back and support health
and wellbeing in South Australia.
“We wanted to support something locally.
And we found that our clients value having
good quality of life – and good quality of
life is having good health,” said General
Manager Claire Forgie (second from right).
A wonderful night of celebration was held
at the Kidney Transplant Ball to celebrate
60 years since the southern hemisphere’s
first live kidney transplant took place in
South Australia.
The night featured live music, a live auction
by Marc Du Plessis and update from
Professor Toby Coates AO.
Supporters also raised more than $54,000
to help bring kidney machine perfusion
to SA – a technology which improves the
health of a donated kidney.
