PANCREATITIS
Sebastian is now pain-free,
thanks to you!
Only a few years ago, Sebastian Weetra was
taking strong pain killers three to five times a
week for hereditary pancreatitis – a condition
that his father and grandfather suffered from.
Pancreatitis is a condition where inflammation
of the pancreas takes place, causing severe
abdominal pain, fever, nausea and vomiting.
But after undergoing a unique Pancreatectomy
and Islet Auto Transplant (P-IAT) procedure,
Sebastian is pain free and living his best life!
Adelaide is one of the only places in Australia
that offer this procedure, made possible
thanks to your donations. Thank you!
“It was hard to sit at his bedside and watch
him in pain. Now to see him do all the
everyday things that 19-year-olds do, is
amazing,” said Sebastian’s mum Merle.
