STROKE
Stroke boot
camp expands
– thanks to you!
A stroke recovery boot camp, which
has brought exceptional results in
metropolitan areas, is now being
expanded to the regions.
Led by Dr Brenton Hordacre thanks to
funding from The Hospital Research
Foundation Group, the boot camp
focuses on upper limb movement in
an intensive five-week program, where
patients work alongside Adelaide
University physio students for up to
three hours a day, five days a week.
Dr Hordacre said the participants’
upper limb function improved up to
three-times greater than typical rehab
programs.
“This project will change people’s
lives and have an ongoing legacy.”
