will have improved access to lifesaving
diagnostic technology with the
installation of a new PET scanner at
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Thanks to your donations, The Hospital
Research Foundation Group has
contributed $1 million towards the scanner,
joining funds from South Australian
Medical Imaging (SAMI) and the State
and Federal Governments.
PET scans are a vital diagnostic
tool, guiding treatment at multiple
stages including the initial diagnosis,
restaging, eligibility for targeted
therapies and monitoring of cancer.
